Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We regard accessible pages as ordinary maintenance work at flairuni rather than an additional feature. Every new page and every change to the design is checked to make sure the text remains readable, the navigation remains usable without a mouse and no information is carried by colour alone. The statement applies to flairuni.net only.

Measures taken

The website uses semantic HTML with a clear heading structure, one main heading per page and link texts that make sense on their own. Navigation and main content are marked as separate regions, each page states its language for screen readers, and images that carry information have text alternatives.

Text and background colours are combined to reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 for body copy, links and buttons. Because sizes are given in relative units, zooming or increasing the browser font size does not disturb the layout. The website can be operated with a keyboard alone.

Standards

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The site is currently partially conformant: most content meets the guidelines, while the points listed below do not yet. Where a requirement cannot be met right away, we provide the information in another way.

Known limitations

Some pictures are general illustrations with a short alternative text rather than a full description.

Reporting a barrier

Please report any accessibility problem you encounter by email to hello@flairuni.net or by telephone on 01463 725418. A short description of the page, of the difficulty and of the device or assistive technology involved allows us to reproduce the fault. We normally answer within five working days and explain what we intend to do about it.

Information in another form

This website is not the only way of obtaining information from flairuni. You can telephone us on 01463 725418 during normal business hours, write to hello@flairuni.net or send a letter to 14 Harbour Road Business Park, Inverness IV1 1SF. Where a page is not accessible to you, we will read the information out by telephone or supply it in plain text form.

Preparation and review

This statement is dated 28 October 2026 and is based on a self-assessment by flairuni, not on an external audit. We tested the navigation, the contact form and the main page types ourselves with a keyboard, browser zoom and a screen reader, and we review the text once a year and whenever the website is rebuilt.
